Your Natal Chart & this New Moon in Virgo

First thing first. If you want to know where New + Full Moons are occurring in your specific chart, you’ll need to pull your chart here if you don’t have it already. You can also learn much more about your Natal Chart through the Intro To Astro Course (included in this membership).

You’ll notice the numbers outside of the wheel. This is the degree of your House Cusps. Every sign has 30 degrees, 0 to 29. Like I mention in the Intro To Astro Course, I use Equal Houses, which means that every House Cusp is at the same degree.

This New Moon occurs at 14 Degrees Virgo. If you have, let’s say, Virgo on the 10th House Cusp at 20 Degrees, then this will fall in your 9th House. But if you have Virgo on the 10th House Cusp at 5 Degrees, then this New Moon would fall in your 10th House.

This adds a layer of interpretation for how this New Moon will affect you personally.

Danielle’s New Moon in Virgo Reflection

“He realized suddenly that it was one thing to see the past occupying the present, but the true test of prescience was to see the past in the future. Things persisted in not being what they seemed.”
Frank Herbert, Dune

“The ego is threatened, competitive, and stressed, whereas the soul is drawn more toward surprise, spontaneity, the new and the fresh. It avoids what is weary, worn, or repetitive.”
John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

“Your soul knows the geography of your destiny. Your soul alone has the map of your future, therefore you can trust this indirect, oblique side of yourself. If you do, it will take you where you need to go, but more important it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey.”
John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

This New Moon invites a continuation of the Service Consciousness that we felt at the end of August, with Mercury and Mars in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces. Virgo is the every day rituals, innate body intelligence, efficiency, Self-care and drawing order from chaos. Neptune dissolves the barriers of the physical world, allowing us to tap into unseen realms. Together, they manifest as the sacred in the mundane. We have the Sun and Moon loosely conjunct Mars in Virgo, giving us hyperdrive and possible elevation of our frazzled, anxious, critical selves. Neptune in Pisces opposing is the desire to escape, transcending the earthly world in favor of more mystical states. Mercury, Virgo’s ruler, is in diplomatic Libra. Healing is available here, the mirroring presenting itself through conscious awareness.

Our nervous systems need settling. It’s becoming clearer that the world is in a state of tumult, ever changing and unsettling to many. Virgo Season - and this lunation in particular - is that invitation into greater integration of the material and immaterial worlds, our bodies being our primary and first temple. Everything begins and ends with our nervous systems, our ability to move through its different experiences and stages with grace and ease.

I’ve been noticing just how fried so many of my clients and friends are. So many of us just feel completely maxed out. The Saturn-Uranus Square and a non stop deluge of global uncertainty and tragedy have brought many to the edge. This is the time to simplify, as best we can, to bring things back to the essential, to come back to our bodies and release what we cannot control. Compassion fatigue is running high, most of all for ourselves. Virgo deals in the immediate realm, what’s in front of us, here and now. We surrender the rest to the Universe or God.

AFFIRMATION (S)

My full expression is my service to this world

JOURNAL PROMPTS

What is my default expression when I am stressed/anxious? How does it manifest (i.e. physically, emotionally, etc)

What do I think my anxiety is trying to tell me?

Can I give my anxiety a voice? What would it say if it could speak?

Attuning to my highest Self, what would my highest Self say to my anxiety?

What would my anxiety say in return?

And what would my highest Self say, (continuing with this process until it feels complete)?

And if I were to ask my anxiety what it needs from me, what would it say? (Note: it’s ok to need help to do this, please be gentle and compassionate with yourself in this process, it can bring up quite a lot)

Can I provide this or help to facilitate my receiving of this?

How can I continue to attune to myself so I am able to recalibrate and find equilibrium?

SETTING INTENTIONS

Intentions differ from goals. While goals are action oriented, intentions express how we want to experience our goals. This heightens their power. For example, we may have a goal of reaching a certain weight, but the weight is simply a number. An intention grants us more agency. I always recommend starting an intention with some variation of “I am gracefully finding myself…” For example, “I am gracefully finding myself feeling lean, flexible, healthy and fit. I am gracefully finding myself loving the way my body feels and my clothes fit.” And because Spirit /The Universe/God is so much wiser and intelligent than we are, I also always include “This Or Something Better For The Highest Good Of All Concerned,” something I learned in my training. This allows us a deeper level of trust and surrender.
