Your Natal Chart & this Full Moon in Pisces

First thing first. If you want to know where New + Full Moons are occurring in your specific chart, you’ll need to pull your chart here if you don’t have it already. You can also learn much more about your Natal Chart through the Intro To Astro Course (included in this membership).

You’ll notice the numbers outside of the wheel. This is the degree of your House Cusps. Every sign has 30 degrees, 0 to 29. Like I mention in the Intro To Astro Course, I use Equal Houses, which means that every House Cusp is at the same degree.

This Full Moon occurs in Pisces at 28 degrees. So, for example, if you have Aries on your 6th House Cusp at 01 degree, this Full Moon would fall in your 5th House. However, if you have Pisces, let’s say, at 20 degrees on your 6th House Cusp, you’ll actually have this Full Moon in your 6th House

This adds a layer of interpretation for how this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse (and all upcoming lunations) will affect you personally.

Danielle’s Pisces Full Moon Reflection

Ideologies separate us. Dreams and anguish bring us together.

-Eugene Ionesco

Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.

-Gloria Steinem

There is time for action and there is time for reverie. This Full Moon falls firmly in the latter camp. Like the New Moon in Virgo two weeks ago, Neptune plays a strong role here. Pisces’s ruler, like Pisces itself, soothes Virgo’s anxiety, transcending the earthly realm via poetry, music and the healing arts.

I’ve been thinking a lot about dreams lately, the role they play in journeys, how they’re intertwined with life itself. I’m concerned that the past 18 months have drained many of their dreaming. Pisces, prone to pining and romanticism, can easily fall victim to cynicism, like that line from Joni Mitchell’s song: “all romantics end up cynical and drunk in some hotel bar.” That doesn’t need to be the case. It’s a challenge, but maintaining hope and wonder, even in the darkest of times, is not only necessary, it’s medicinal.

I’m not talking about denial or escaping reality. I’m talking about something deeper, something tethered to our soul, the belief that good things can still happen, are even bound to happen, most likely when we least expect it. But even more than that, the gift of forgiveness and mercy, the dissolving of aspects of the ego that keep us separate and apart.

Virgo says God is in the Details. Mars, newly in partnership oriented Libra, is conjunct the Sun, revving up our motivation to get along. Pisces and Neptune say let go, don’t resist, allow.

Neptune conjunct the Moon gives us the feeling of being suspended in Dalí painting or Fellini film. What is time? What is real? The asking of these questions can bring us into soul resonance, softening our edges and connecting us to the unseen world in new and miraculous ways.

Pisces’s gift is its fluidity, its ability to flow, to lose itself in the moment, opening itself up as a vessel. Mystical experiences can arise at any moment. They aren’t tethered to certain acts or even moral virtue. So often in Spiritual communities, we attach healing to “work”, projecting a puritanical, perfectionist ethic onto to Cosmic Law. But love, forgiveness, mercy, healing, these things aren’t bestowed in an orderly, neat, logical fashion.

Humans have a tendency towards hierarchical thinking. We want to make sense of the world. But it’s never going to make sense, not in a formulaic way, at least. The highest level of consciousness is that messy middle path of the heart. This Full Moon is a reminder of just how little we really know. And how much peace can come from the willingness to admit it.

FULL MOON RITUAL

I recommend exploring the below thematic suggestions and then taking the time to write, on separate paper, all of your limiting beliefs, fears, anxieties and negative self-talk and either burn, shred or rip them up. Then in the space allowed, allow for a blessing of light, that only that which is for the highest good be brought forward.

JOURNAL PROMPTS

Have I had mystical experiences in my life?

If so, what were the circumstances?

Have I connected the feeling of “mysticism” with the above “circumstances”? Why or why not?

In other words, do I believe mystical experiences only occur under or within certain conditions?

How can I support myself in maintaining a fluid connection to the mystical world? Or how can I maintain an openness to magic, healing, transcendence and flow?
