Your Natal Chart & this Full Moon in Leo
First thing first. If you want to know where New + Full Moons are occurring in your specific chart, you’ll need to pull your chart here if you don’t have it already. You can also learn much more about your Natal Chart through the Intro To Astro Course (included in this membership).
You’ll notice the numbers outside of the wheel. This is the degree of your House Cusps. Every sign has 30 degrees, 0 to 29. Like I mention in the Intro To Astro Course, I use Equal Houses, which means that every House Cusp is at the same degree.
This Full Moon in Leo at 27 degrees. So, for example, if you have Leo on your 6th House Cusp at 06 degrees, this Full Moon would fall in your 6th House. However, if you have Virgo, let’s say, at 05 degrees on your 6th House Cusp, you’ll actually have this Full Moon in your 5th House.
This adds a layer of interpretation for how this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse (and all upcoming lunations) will affect you personally.
Danielle’s Full Moon Reflection
“Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”
―Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia
Leo, like all signs, is reduced to the glamorous drama queen in need of a spotlight. And while this certainly applies to a certain demographic of Leos, it hardly satisfies all descriptions. In some personalities, Leo is loud and proud, in others quietly dignified. What most Leos possess is warmth.
The first six weeks of 2022 haven’t exactly been a joyride. Heavy on Capricorn (and a Mercury conjunction to Pluto), Venus and then Mercury Retrograde, put some grinds in our gears. As of a month ago, all planets have been direct. But Venus and Mars in Capricorn have had us consolidating our goals. It’s been serious business. The Sun shifting into Aquarius and Mercury joining at the start of the week has brought a hint of levity but it’s this Full Moon that reminds us we’re creative beings.
This Full Moon, opposite the Sun and Saturn loosely conjunct in Aquarius offers us clarity on what it is that still sparks joy. If we’ve been feeling choked, especially in regards to communication, it may all coming pouring out now. We have something to share. Leo rules the Heart. Aquarius the Circulatory System. Have we been neglecting Love?
In the Tarot, the Lovers refers not only to romantic love but love in general. Love of the arts, love of food, of culture. Enjoyment. Pleasure. Sure, the world is mad, but isn’t that all the more reason to revel in what we can, to find the flames of passion in whatever moments we can steal, to find ways to fall back in love with living itself?
The parts of us that hold ourselves back from enjoyment, they seem to echo loudest now. But what if we flipped the script? What if we said, yes, life is challenging, the world is challenging, which is why I’m committing to love, to play, whenever I can find it, to joy.
FULL MOON RITUAL
I recommend exploring the below thematic suggestions and then taking the time to write, on separate paper, all of your limiting beliefs, fears, anxieties and negative self-talk and either burn, shred or rip them up. Then in the space allowed, allow for a blessing of light, that only that which is for the highest good be brought forward.
