Your Natal Chart & this New Moon
First thing first. If you want to know where New + Full Moons are occurring in your specific chart, you’ll need to pull your chart here if you don’t have it already. You can also learn much more about your Natal Chart through the Intro To Astro Course (included in this membership).
You’ll notice the numbers outside of the wheel. This is the degree of your House Cusps. Every sign has 30 degrees, 0 to 29. Like I mention in the Intro To Astro Course, I use Equal Houses, which means that every House Cusp is at the same degree.
This New Moon occurs at 27 Degrees Aquarius. If you have, let’s say, Aquarius on the 10th House Cusp at 15 Degrees, then this will fall in your 10th House. But if you have Aquarius on the 10th House Cusp at 29 Degrees, then this New Moon would actually fall in your 9th House.
This adds a layer of interpretation for how this New Moon will affect you personally.
Danielle’s New Moon in Aquarius Reflection
Most of us, if we’re feeling stuck, try to change our external circumstances. We take action. And sometimes this is exactly what we need. However, more often than not, it’s not the external that needs changing, but the internal.
Aquarius is fixed energy. It is firm and resolute in its beliefs. Saturn transiting the sign is alerting us all to our own ideological allegiances. Uranus, in Taurus, is breaking them up. This square (separating, but still present) is at the heart of this New Moon.
On a personal level, we may find ourselves hitting a wall (again - we felt this throughout 2021), with a deep knowing that something’s gotta give.
Mercury is Retrograde, conjunct Pluto, we’re invited deeper, to explore the root of what’s arresting our progress.
Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, these are outer planets, forces bigger than any one individual. Aquarius reminds us of the power of the collective and, paradoxically, also, the uniqueness of the individual. How we reconcile the two is the energetic lessons of this era.
So what happens when we hit a wall and it feels like we’re between a rock and a hard place? What do we do then?
We can look at what’s occurring through multiple lenses. There’s our subjective lens, the material lens, the societal lens, the energetic lens and the spiritual lens.
With each perspective, we have the opportunity to grow, the widen our view and anchor our learnings. A relationship problem or issue, for example, from one lens, takes on an entirely new shape and form from another.

JOURNAL PROMPTS
What is my relationship to certainty?
In what areas of my life do I feel the greatest need to be certain?
In what ways could this desire or need for certainty be holding me back?
How could I reframe such certainty? What new “job” can I give this aspect of my psyche? For example, if I’ve been devoting a lot of energy to needing certainty in my life, can I devote that same energy to some form of creative play or expression, which might lead to new ideas? The irony here is that when we release the need for the certainty, our trust in the flow of life (and this includes the ruptures and hurdles), increases.
How can I support myself in continuing to remain open-minded in seeing things from different vantage points?
SETTING INTENTIONS
Intentions differ from goals. While goals are action oriented, intentions express how we want to experience our goals. This heightens their power. For example, we may have a goal of reaching a certain weight, but the weight is simply a number. An intention grants us more agency. I always recommend starting an intention with some variation of “I am gracefully finding myself…” For example, “I am gracefully finding myself feeling lean, flexible, healthy and fit. I am gracefully finding myself loving the way my body feels and my clothes fit.” And because Spirit /The Universe/God is so much wiser and intelligent than we are, I also always include “This Or Something Better For The Highest Good Of All Concerned,” something I learned in my training. This allows us a deeper level of trust and surrender.
