Your Natal Chart & this Full Moon in Capricorn

First thing first. If you want to know where New + Full Moons are occurring in your specific chart, you’ll need to pull your chart here if you don’t have it already. You can also learn much more about your Natal Chart through the Intro To Astro Course (included in this membership).

You’ll notice the numbers outside of the wheel. This is the degree of your House Cusps. Every sign has 30 degrees, 0 to 29. Like I mention in the Intro To Astro Course, I use Equal Houses, which means that every House Cusp is at the same degree.

This Full Moon occurs in Capricorn at 3 degrees. So, for example, if you have Capricorn on your 6th House Cusp at 1 degree, this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse would fall in your 6th House. However, if you have Capricorn, let’s say, at 15 degrees on your 6th House Cusp, you’ll actually have this Full Moon in your 5th House because 3 degrees comes before 15 degrees.

This adds a layer of interpretation for how this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse (and all upcoming lunations) will affect you personally.

Danielle’s Capricorn Full Moon Reflection

Real strength never impairs beauty of harmony, but it often bestows it; and in everything imposingly beautiful, strength has much to do with the magic.

-Herman Melville

The middle way is a view of life that avoids the extreme of misguided grasping born of believing there is something we can find, or buy, or cling to that will not change. And it avoids the despair and nihilism born from the mistaken belief that nothing matters, that all is meaningless.

-Sharon Salzberg

The world we see that seems so insane is the result of a belief system that is not working. To perceive the world differently, we must be willing to change our belief system, let the past slip away, expand our sense of now, and dissolve the fear in our minds.

-William James

The Sun is in emotionally connected Cancer, the Moon in stabilizing, driven Capricorn. Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn, is Retrograde in Aquarius, squaring Uranus in Taurus. And Jupiter Retrograde in Pisces is supporting the Luminaries. What we have here is a grounding in faith, a simultaneous untethering and fluid determination.

I see this as as a grounding cord in the liminal space. We have our long term goals, we may not be quite sure how we’re getting from here to there, or what exactly there looks like, the details are still a bit of a fog with Mercury still in its shadow and approaching its square to Neptune. But the feeling is there, the attunement to that which fulfills us.

Though we’re past Eclipse Season and this Spring’s exact Saturn-Uranus Square, we’re still in its after effects. The desire for comfort or the familiar may feel especially strong right now. There is a calming effect with this Full Moon.

It’s our long term commitments, the obligations and responsibilities that form the structures of our lives and provide meaning and purpose in our life. The opportunity here is to realign or align with that which supports and nourishes our integrity, which grounds us.

How do we relate to responsibility and commitment? What do those words bring forward within us?

Containers actually create freedom. Boundaries are healthy, expansive even. It’s ok to say no and it’s ok to say yes. If we quiet our mind, we can tune into our bodies, which have much to say about our environment, our dreams and desires, the people we surround ourselves with. When we think of certain goals, do we feel restricted and heavy or heart filled and aligned?

If it’s an obligation we cannot so easily extricate ourselves from, can we frame it differently, allowing a different perspective and therefore experience? Is there something underneath the tie that sustains us in some way?

I recommend exploring the below affirmation suggestions and then taking the time to write, on separate paper, all of your limiting beliefs, fears, anxieties and negative self-talk and either burn, shred or rip them up. Then in the space allowed, allow for a blessing of light, that only that which is for the highest good be brought forward.

JOURNAL PROMPTS

What are my long term goals?

Do my values sync with these goals?

Do the structures in my life support these goals?

Do I believe I can achieve my long term goals? Do I have faith in myself?

Am I participating in any relationships or activities that are in direct conflict with these goals?

If yes, how do these relationships or activities serve me, or serve my current needs? Can I see why I’m engaging them?

Can I write out these goals, fully experiencing their fullness, as if in the present moment, bringing them alive?

What step - small or large - can I take today in pursuit of these goals?
